Celebrity Bartenders poured wine for a good cause on Wednesday, March 30, at the Silicon Valley Capital Club. VIP bartenders were Santa Clara County Supervisor Mike Wasserman, VMC Foundation Executive Director Chris Wilder and Brenna Bolger, founder and CEO of PRx Communication Strategists.
This year’s fundraiser invited everyone to “Tie One On” -- but not the way you think! Guests were encouraged to purchase brand new designer ties generously donated by Mike Fox, Sr. All of the “tips” collected by the bartenders and proceeds from the tie sales benefited Valley Medical Center Foundation’s programs.
This was the second “Celebrity Bartender” fundraiser hosted by the Capital Club for VMC Foundation. The first fundraiser, in July ’09, netted a whopping $10,300 in “tip” donations, the largest donation ever raised by the Capital Club’s monthly non-profit fundraisers.
Quite a crowd gathered Wednesday night at the Silicon Valley Capital Club to enjoy a glass of wine and donate money to the Valley Medical Center Foundation.

The VMC Foundation provides state-of the-science equipment and services to Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, our county’s healthcare safety-net that serves nearly 500,000 patients annually. Valley Medical Center is proud to announce they have been ranked the #2 medical center in the San Jose Metro Area behind Stanford Medical Center by US World News and Report.
