What: The regionally recognized Rehabilitation Center at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center (SCVMC) celebrates 40 years of innovative, specialized services for spinal cord injury and traumatic and acquired brain injury. The Rehabilitation Center has helped more than 15,000 patients on the road to reintegration into their lives. This 76-bed specialty center located within the SCVMC has pioneered many medical and therapeutic interventions used throughout the country. The When:
Current and previous patients and employees are invited to participate in the catered lunch ($10 suggested donation). More than 100 past patients will return for the barbecue with their families, showing proof of their inspiring recoveries. From 280 N: Exit 280 at Leigh Ave./Basom Ave. Turn left on Bascom. Cross over Moorpark and take your next right at Renova Drive. Follow signs for visitor parking. Exit visitor parking lot and turn right on Renova. Follow event signs to employee parking structure (located at the intersection of Renova and Turner Drive). Take the elevator to the 5th floor of the parking structure. Exit 280 at Winchester Ave. Turn left on Moorpark. Follow Moorpark for 1 mile to Turner Drive. Turn right at Turner. Follow Turner to the firs stop sign and turn left on Renoa Drive. Follow event signs to employee parking structure (located at the intersection of Renova and Turner Drive). Take the elevator to the 5th floor of the parking structure.
